Pegu Club

The Pegu Club cocktail, a classic gin drink from the British colonial era in Burma (1824-1948), is named after a club for British expatriates. This sophisticated blend combines gin, orange liqueur, fresh lime juice, and bitters, creating a sweet and tart balance. It has recently gained popularity for its crisp profile and elegant presentation, showcasing the art of mixology, whether enjoyed at a bar or made at home.

Ingredients:

  • 2 ounces gin

  • 3/4 ounce fresh lime juice

  • 3/4 ounce orange liqueur

  • 1 dash Angostura bitters

  • 1 dash orange bitters

  • Lime twist, for garnish

Preparation:

  1. Combine gin, lime juice, orange liqueur, and bitters in a shaker filled with ice.

  2. Shake vigorously until well chilled, about 15-20 seconds.

  3. Strain into a chilled coupe and garnish with lime twist.
