Jane Darr's Peach Cobbler
The first time Jane made this for me she didn’t tell me how she made it. I was amazed at how the topping melts in your mouth. You have to try this!
Ingredients:
1 large can sliced peaches, drained
2 slices white bread, crust removed and cut into 3 equal strips
1 stick butter
1 ½ cup sugar
2 heaping tablespoons flour
1 egg
cinnamon (optional)
Preparation:
Preheat oven to 350°.
Put sliced peaches into bottom of 8x8 pan; add cinnamon.
Stir together melted butter, sugar, flour and egg. Pour over bread layer making sure all bread is covered.
Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until top looks done.
